A N A

She comes with me to work everyday and waits while I teach, work and dream.... Sometimes I stop and we play for a while. When I forget, she licks my hands and reminds me of the important things in life, like love, joy, friendship, and serendipity. Proud of her duties, she often carries my backpack, books or umbrella. (At times she chews them a little, but that's ok.) Ana is my 11 years old yellow labrador. (Sadly, Ana passed away on July 2006. She had cancer and I finally helped her go. That was the hardest thing I've ever done.
A few months later Luna, one of her daughters, aka Virgínia, came back to live with me. She is my present companion, as sweet as her mom.)
